City-wide computing and tele-communication needs are administered by Information Technologies. This includes the City Hall Complex local area network (LAN), as well as the City's wide area network (WAN), which includes all Fire Station locations, Public Works Garage, Sewer and Water Operations, Police Department Facility, and the Library.
The City's data processing function is managed by the Director of Information Technology who reports to the Director of Administration. Primary staff support is provided through a professional services contract with an outside data processing technical support firm.
SERVICES:

Maintains and grows the City WAN structure.

Performs maintenance and repair work on City-owned computing equipment.

Provides training and software support to City personnel.

Maintains and assists in development of the City's website.

Coordinates and monitors Internet and E-mail access for City employees.

Responsible for GIS, Land Management, and Utility Billing software systems.

Maintains the City's telecommunication services and equipment and the City's Public Access Television Channel.
