The Franklin Police Department in cooperation with the Sex Offender Registration Committee, is releasing the following information pursuant to Wisconsin State Statutes 301.46(2m) which authorizes law enforcement agencies to inform the public of a sex offender's release, when, in the discretion of the agency, the release of information will enhance public safety, awareness and protection. Use of this page is subject to the agreement on the Notice and Disclaimer page. Please read this information before continuing.
NOTE: The Wisconsin Department of Corrections Sex Offender Registry has added new features to better inform the public on sex offenders living in their community. The public can now search for offenders living one, two, or three miles from a specific address. The public can also sign up for automatic notifications when a registered sex offender moves into a residence one, two, or three miles from a specific address.
The individuals who appear on this notification page have committed an offense that requires registration with the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. Further, previous criminal history places him/her in a classification level which reflects the potential to re-offend. Note: Information regarding offenders under the age of 18 cannot be disseminated beyond law enforcement officials.
The sex offenders have served the prison sentences imposed on him/her by the courts. The offender, under the supervision of the Department of Corrections, Division of Community Corrections, will be living at the location listed below. He/She is not wanted by the police at this time. This notification is not intended to increase fear, rather, it is our belief that an informed public is a safer public.
WARNING:
***Citizen abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate or harass registered sex offenders will not be tolerated and violators will be arrested and prosecuted. Please understand that such abuse could potentially end law enforcement's ability to make these community notifications. We believe the only person who wins if community notification ends is the sex offender, since sex offenders derive their power or ability to victimize through secrecy.
