School Resource Officer

The Franklin Police Department works cooperatively with the Franklin Public School District by having a School Resource Officer assigned to the Franklin High School and Forest Park Middle School.  The School Resource Officer (SRO) works collaboratively with the school administrators in keeping our schools and students safe.  The School Resource officer works every day that school is in session and maintains an office at Franklin High School.  The School Resource Officer also attends selected events outside of the school day.

To assist the SRO, the Franklin Police Department also has assigned day shift officers to each of our elementary schools.  These “Adopt-A-School” program officers visit their assigned schools throughout the year to maintain solid partnerships and open lines of communication with administration and staff.
