The Franklin Fire Department, as the enforcement authority for the City of Franklin’s Fire Prevention, Protection, and Control Code (Chapter 133 of Franklin’s Municipal Ordinances), occasionally receives requests for permission to conduct prescribed burns. The Department reviews and approves or denies these requests on a case-by-case basis.

The Franklin Fire Department only grants approval for prescribed burns that are planned and conducted by a professional environmental consulting or engineering firm demonstrating adequate proof of insurance.
